  • Open Afternoon – Changes to Assessment in Year 6

    You may be aware that some changes are taking place this year with regards to the Year 6 SATs. The changes include the tests that pupils will sit during SATs week and the way in which their results will be reported.

    We would like to invite you to an Open afternoon to provide you with more information about these changes.

    It will also give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about your child’s upcoming SATs.

    We will host this Open Afternoon on Thursday 25th February. Please indicate below which session you would like to attend.

  • Changes to Year 2 assessment

    A new National Curriculum is now being taught right across school. The new curriculum is more challenging and sets high expectations which all schools have had to work hard to meet since the beginning of last year.

  • Visit to Sir John Thursby – Friday 29th January

    Next Friday Class 5-1 will be visiting Sir John Thursby for a taster session to see what high school is really like! They will leave school at 9.00am and return to school by 2.00pm. The children will be walking to Sir John Thursby so please make sure they are wearing a jacket and sensible shoes. They will need a packed lunch with them but if they usually have a school lunch, this will be provided.
